Happy Valentine’s Day from Guatemala!

We’ve had a busy end of January and first of February!  MacClenny Church of God came for a few days and stayed busy the whole time. They arrived on a Tuesday, built a house on Wednesday, Thursday held a medical clinic in Rio Bravo where they treated around 165 people, after serving the kids there breakfast. Friday, we went to Esquinlta to the dump where they held another medical clinic and they treated around 50 people and also served the soup. Saturday was their play day, so we climbed Volcano Pacaya , then went to the market  in Antigua. It was a fast but highly productive trip. We want to thank this team for their love for this country and the people.

The first of February was spent renewing car registrations, buying stickers for vehicles, paid property taxes, financial statements for the government of Guatemala, things we’re liable for in order to stay legal here.

Bob and Obed and Gary went to Esquintla, to the dump,  to try to drill them a better well. They have a well but it’s shallow and dries up in the dry season. They hit rock twice and had to abandon the attempt. Bob’s drilling rig can’t penetrate the rock here. They’ve come up with an alternative solution to their water problem. We’ll keep you posted as to the outcome of their situation.

They’ve also been installing stoves in Cuidad Vieja  with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) teams. They also install stoves with various ministries, Adventures Guatemala, World Racers just to name a few. Stoves are an important part of Guatemalan life.

We’d like to thank First Baptist Church Snyder, for donating the funds to buy a new cement mixer. We will supply pictures when Bob and Obed  get to go to Guatemala City and purchase it.

This month’s prayer requests are as follows: health and safety for all up coming teams, successful solutions for the water project in Esquintla dump, continued healing  for Bob’s hip and foot.

You can donate to: Servants Hearts Ministries, Box 1045, Snyder, Texas 79550
