Well Hello Friends, All is well here in Guatemala. We had a team from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida  New Day Church, They were an awesome team and we did lots of great ministry with them. We have a team from First Baptist Church Defuniak Springs, Florida here right now.

First let me tell you about the school that I installed the 8 gpm. UV system in. It is a school near to our house here in San Lucas. It is in a town called Santo Tomas Milpes Altos. The school provides an education to children who’s families can’t afford to send them to public schools. They are a Christ Centered school and not only provide a quality education, but live out the word of God to the children too. There are 270 kids there. Also 23 full time staff. The school is called “Saber Y Gracia” (Wisdom and Grace)  So we are happy to be able to help with pure water for the children there and the community too. This pure water system was provided for by some very good friends from Boston, Mass. So Thank you Kevin Petittie and friends for giving to the Lord and helping with the water purification system. But it doesn’t stop there, This school has plans for building a new school. They already have the property and plans drawn up. This new school will educate 1,000 children and provide discipleship for them as well. We are praying for them and excited to see who and how God brings all this together.

Next let me tell you all about New Day Church from North west Florida. They are a new church plant from First Baptist Church Defuniak Springs, Fl. They brought a team of 10 people, many of whom had never been on a mission trip before. They all seemed to have a great time and we did some wonderful ministry with them. We built one house in the community of Pastores, gave out water filter buckets, and bibles,  installed 5 stoves in different areas, they got to help serve the children lunch at Santa Maria de Jesus, and visited with Pastor Abraham in Buena Vista. They are seeking guidance from the Lord on how to partner with his church for the Future. Loved on lots of kids at Casa Shalom Orphanage, gave out balloons, crayons, sidewalk chalk, you know all those things kids love to play with.  This team was led by Jeff Geoghagen, he brought his daughter Gracie, Pastor William Whaley, and his two Daughters, Rebecca and Rachael,  Steve and Celestine Boyd,  their nephew Seth, and Steve Young, and Gene Blackmarr. I want to thank you all for coming and doing such a wonderful job of showing Jesus to the people of Guatemala.  It is truly a Joy to see People come and share their life with helping the people here.

Romans 12: 9-13 says ” 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

This is what they did. Living out God’s word.

And right now we have the other team here from First Baptist Church, Defuniak Springs, Florida who are doing lots of the same things and doing it all with the same Zeal, Fervor, and Joy as the previous team.  They have already put in 2 stoves and have plans for installing 4 more. They too went over to Buena Vista to visit Pastor Abraham, but he is away on a trip to a different part of Guatemala, so instead they got to see the church there “Sala Evangelica”, and visited with Abraham’s Brother Florinda. They also went to visit with and play with the children at Casa Shalom Orphanage. They are going to build 2 houses, with kitchens, give out bibles, water filter buckets, handing out tracks, plan of Salvation in Spanish, go to the feeding center in Santa Maria de Jesus, and visit the Christian school “Wisdom and Grace” that I spoke of earlier. They are also going to help with some more painting on the new feeding center in Santa Maria de Jesus.  This team is being led by Richard Murray, and he has his son William, David and Cricket Feitsma and their 2 children Thomas, and Lilly, David’s Mother, LaMerle Feitsma, Mrs. Sherry, and Miss Ashley.  Thank you all for coming and giving to the Lord.

The prayer request for this month are safety for the teams traveling, how God would have them join with other ministry opportunities here. What our ministry can do to help facilitate that.  And for us and we will be traveling to Church Builders soon in Alabama.  Thank you for keeping these lifted up to the Lord.
