First I want to wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father’s Day!  I pray your families make you feel extra special.

As many of you know from the news, we have been helping with the relief efforts from the Volcano eruption. Bob and the guys have taken loads of food and water to some effected areas. I have also taken food for the first responders as well as clothing and blankets. Right now the shelters are full of donations and have asked that no more be donated. They are needing helpers to go into the centers and go through and organize everything. The response of Guatemalans helping Guatemalans has been refreshing. We  will continue to help as needed. This is going to be a long term healing process for the people displaced because of this disaster. A gentleman from Samaritan’s Purse contacted Bob last week and asked about our house building ministry. We are leaving it in God’s hands as to what our role will be in this.

We want to give a big Praise God for the new truck! What a blessing it will be to have for drilling water wells. This team brought the bit and change over sub, so just a few more projects to get the rig ready and Bob is in business! Thank you for the generous donations.

We do have a team here ministering this week. David Kaufmann brought a team of 20. This team is made up of around 7 churches in the Rockdale area. They are building 2 houses, installing stoves, distributing food bags, working in a clinic in San Cristobal El Alto. They have a busy week.

This is just the first of a busy team season for us besides helping with the Volcano relief. Please keep all of us in your prayers. We praise God that we’re able to minister in whatever capacity is needed.

Prayer requests : For our teams heath and safety, for the people who lost everything in this eruption, for the rescue workers, for the relief center workers, for the volcano to calm down, for wisdom and strength for us.
