Hello to you all.

We wanted to let you all know about some things going on with us and the ministry of Servants Hearts Ministries. We have been on an extended vacation.  Please allow me to tell you a little about that.

Even missionaries need a vacation to recharge the batteries so to speak. It’s self healing help. For us it’s getting into nature, taking in God’s beautiful creations, being able to take some time and press in even closer to God and listen to the Holy Spirit.

When you are always on the go and trying to help others, you can get drained and emotionally bankrupt, so its necessary to take some time for yourself and for us as a couple.

Here is the biggest blessing of all though, while we have been away our staff has been steady working on getting things ready for a busy team season. We have several teams coming this summer. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful group of people to help us in the ministry.  It doesn’t go unappreciated, we are planning to have a staff retreat for them all in the fall of the year.

So to give you a little run down of where we went and what we have done. We first left Snyder and went to Southwest Utah. Stayed at a place called Hanksville, Utah. We did several hiking trails in Goblin State park, and Capital Reef  National park. Then we moved South  to Bryce Canyon city and hiked several more trails in Bryce Canyon, Breathtaking  beauty. Then we moved a little more South to Kanab, Utah and hiked some slot canyon trails, amazing and beautiful. Then we headed back towards Snyder via Carlsbad New Mexico and stopped in and visited with Aunt Lele and Uncle Joe. She is 94 years old and he is 87. They are doing pretty good, just moving a little slower. It has been way too long to have a visit with them. We love them. We got back to Snyder put the RV back in the barn and flew back to Guatemala. Then 3 days later we got in the car and drove to Honduras, to a town called La Ceiba, got on a ferry from there and went to the island of Roatan. This is  a place that is very special to us. its where we got certified for SCUBA diving. So we are here for 10 days. When we go back to Guatemala, we will be there 3 days then teams start arriving for the summer months.
