Greetings to all,
Wow what a month it has been, we have had Pioneer Drive Baptist Church come down for a week. They did lots of great ministry through working at Casa Shalom and Santa Maria de Jesus. Then we had Allison Downing and a friend of hers Seth Bambauer from Florida. Then after their visit we had Steve Pepper and Johnny Ivie from Knox City,Tx.
Pioneer Drive Baptist Church stayed at Casa Shalom Orphanage and were able to play with and interact with the kids in the evenings. They also did some painting projects there for the orphanage. There was a team of 15 awesome people of God. They built 2 houses, installed 4 stoves, delivered 2 water filter buckets, bibles in Spanish, helped to feed over 500 children at Santa Maria de Jesus (Campos de Suenos) feeding center. They brought lots of bubbles, jump ropes, balls, puzzles, coloring books, and some new drill bits for our drilling rig. We can’t thank you enough for giving to the service of the Lord here in Guatemala.
Next we had an old friend, Allison Downing, come for another visit, I think this was her fourth time to come to Guatemala. She invited a friend from Florida, Seth Bambauer.
While we were at Church builders this last summer the wonderful people of church builders took up a collection to fund the building of a home for a poor family. So Allison and Seth helped us to build that house. What an incredible blessing it was for that family and for us to be able to build that house for church builders of Texas. With this house the family got a kitchen, wood burning stove, water filter bucket, the word of God, and a new solar panel that powers 4-12 volt light bulbs, and has a usb port for recharging their cell phone. An amazing improvement over what they had been living in. Thank you Baptist church builders of Texas and also Allison and Seth.
They also installed stoves and helped to feed the children at Campos de Suenos (fields of dreams)
Next we had another old friend come back and brought a good friend with him. It was Steve Pepper and Johnny Ivie. They worked so hard here helping the wonderful people of Guatemala. They built 2 houses with kitchens, solar panels, installed 7 wood burning stoves, delivered 2 water filter buckets, gave the word of God to families, helped at the feeding center Campos de Suenos, that day there were 519 children. They prayed with many families, I might add that one of those houses they built was up on the side of a mountain that was very difficult to get to, but that didn’t slow them down one bit. All I can say is Praise God for all the great people he has sent to help us do his work here.
And now for our preyer request and Praise report, Please join us in giving praise to God for sending to us Obed and Anna and Debora, It is such a blessing to have them here helping us in all we are trying to do. And please be praying for those teams yet to come this year and the ministry work we will be doing with them.
