Greetings from Texas,we have been very busy while here. First went to church builders in Italy, Texas. Then we went to Rock the Desert in Midland, Texas. Now back in Snyder, great times visiting with family and friends. I am building cattle guards again, and wow it is hot here, but that is ok.
Church builders was wonderful with 323 volunteers showing up to help in Italy, Texas. Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church is a small church and the old building is in poor condition. We were able to go with the early crew and were blessed to be able to stay with Georgette’s sister and her husband. Dennis and Anita Williamson who live in Midlothian, Tx. They were wonderful hosts to us, so big thanks goes out to them. After Church builders was over they took us to a Texas Ranger’s game, they won and it was so much fun.
Next we were blessed to be able to go to Rock the desert in Midland, Tx. It really felt like a desert out there this year. That didn’t stop us from praising and worshiping God along with about 20,000 other people. Some of our favorite bands were there, DecembeRadio, Swithfoot, Skillet, David Crowder Band, Superchick just to name a few.
Georgette, I, and Kristi went and stayed in the camper trailer at an RV park in Midland, we all had a wonderful time.
In order to be able to come back home for Christmas I have been building cattle guards again. I have been doing this for Kinder Morgan and Jerry Webb, Gary Norwood, Thank you to these guys. It is a wonderful blessing that I am able to have this opportunity. A lot of it is just repetitious welding, to put the pipe on top of the I beam there is over 1000 welds so I am able to meditate on the word and sing praise songs and worship God. I really enjoy it even though it is very hot. This is the second one of three that I am trying to build this trip. My dad has been a big help with this project.
First we would like to give praise to God for the successful removal of the tumor from Shirley’s neck. Shirley is Georgette’s sister. It was tested and is benign. Praise God. Also we have family travailing from Canada, please pray for safety coming and going.
Romans 11:29 says For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. We are truly thankful for the call God has placed in our lives for the people of Guatemala and are continually in awe of His presence and provision
